Giving Girls the Confidence to Build a Better Future

The Join My Village Girls’ Leadership Program provides mentors to work with groups of adolescent girls, teaching them to become champions for their own rights and pursue educational opportunities.  In three districts of Uttar Pradesh - Balrampur, Bahraich and Shravasti – Join My Village targets a total of 100 villages, reaching out to 30 adolescent girls in each village and encouraging them to become productive citizens in their communities.

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Join My Village team and these adolescent groups, many previously out-of-school girls have re-enrolled in KGBVs and other government-run schools, and more than 100,000 girls have gained learning skills that will help them lead dignified, educated and self-reliant lives.
