POSTED BY Henry Mhango on May 10, 2012
Education

Recently Join My Village asked girls in Malawi and India to create art work that could be used to make cards for Mother’s around the world. It was fun, it was imaginative and above all it was a true reflection of how creative our girls can be. The colorful images of mothers, villages and flowers were created by our girls as part of showing how passionate they are towards different things. In Malawi, it was a free for all and when the day came, the girls...

Making the Impossible Possible
POSTED BY Henry Mhango on April 30, 2012
Education

Every one of us has the potential for remarkable achievements and every one of us can accomplish the impossible in our lives if given the right inspiration and motivation to do so. Looking strange and out of place, the girls started organizing themselves for they knew they are here not only to admire...

Meet Our Partner - Kasungu District Education Office
POSTED BY Henry Mhango on March 23, 2012
Education

When Join My Village landed in Kasungu district way back in 2009, the first thing we did was to enter into an agreement with the Kasungu District Education Manager’s (KUDEM) office as one way of pulling each other towards a common goal; improving girls access to education in the rural areas of the district. Among the areas of agreement were: Join My Village to construct houses for female teachers; provide some reference materials for primary schools; and provide scholarships to needy and intelligent girls who...
